Quality & Environmental Policy

The management of BIOTECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FOR INDUSTRY IN PHARMACEUTICALS S.L.U. (BDI biotech), a company specialising in providing “cell line development services”, “cell bank construction and characterisation services”, “analytical services”, “process design and optimisation services” and “contract manufacturing services”, is committed to scientific excellence and customer satisfaction. The organisation’s primary commitment is to maintaining high standards of quality and protecting the environment.
To this end, Management establishes this Policy, its objectives and the means to achieve them. It is also responsible for communicating and disseminating the Quality and Environmental objectives to all levels of the organisation, for which training and its proper planning are key elements.

This Policy is based on the following commitments:

• To meet the explicit and implicit demands, requirements and expectations of our customers, as well as legal and regulatory requirements, and to apply the quality and environmental criteria required for the defined scope.
• To provide high-quality services that effectively meet the needs and expectations of our customers, ensuring reliability, traceability and compliance with requirements.
• To ensure that working conditions are optimal by assessing the risks that may arise in processes, eliminating them where possible and reducing those identified.
• To foster and achieve a motivating environment for all members of the company. As well as to promote staff competence, participation and commitment through training and awareness-raising in the areas of quality, safety and the environment.
• To consolidate the process of continuous improvement in the performance of all activities carried out within the company. To this end, both the Management and all Managers reporting to it are responsible for periodically reviewing the effectiveness of the Quality and Environmental Management System, so that appropriate measures are taken to ensure that continuous improvement is effectively implemented.
• To consider the environmental aspects and impacts associated with every stage of the life cycle of our services, from design, development and delivery through to the management of the waste generated, encouraging responsible decisions regarding the selection of materials, reagents, suppliers and working methods
• Prevent pollution, minimise waste generation and emissions, promote energy efficiency and the sustainable use of resources, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility across all areas of the company.
• Ensure the dissemination, understanding and application of this Policy at all levels of the organisation, as well as its availability to relevant stakeholders.

Management is committed to providing the necessary resources for the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System, periodically reviewing this Policy to ensure it remains appropriate to the organisation’s context and strategic direction.
